The purpose of FairlyNerdy.com is to help people build their intuition about various engineering, programming, and data science problems. Many of these kinds of problems aren’t that difficult to understand when they are presented the right way. But they can be very challenging when if you just see an equation.
I think to learn something, it is better to start with an analogy to something you already know. The analogy might not be a perfect example, and will break down when subjected to intense scrutiny, but it will provide mental hooks that you can latch on to until you develop a full understanding.
